Kimi Raikonnen first tapped into his driving skills at age 11, when he surpassed the competition at local karting events to make a name for himself on the international circuit. In 2000, the Finnish driver entered the world of single-seaters with an impressive showing in the UK Formula Renault series, claiming the championship with a seven-win, 316-point season that garnered the attention of multiple Formula One Teams. Raikonnen competed in his first Formula One season driving for Sauber.

Kimi Raikonnen continued to catch the eyes of fans and teams alike, going on to sign a five-year contract with McLaren before rising to the pinnacle of his career at Ferrari. He took home his first drivers’ title in 2007 in a close finish, securing the championship from McLaren during the final round.

Following a series of lackluster performances, Kimi Raikkonen parted ways with Ferrari following the 2009 season. After honing his skills for two years at events such as the World Rally Championship and the NASCAR Trucks and Nationwide Series, he announced his return to Formula One racing as a member of Lotus. He then returned to Ferrari in 2014. Through he suffered a disappointing season in 2014, he claimed three podium finishes in 2015 and has had an impressive start to 2016, finishing second at the recent Bahrain Grand Prix.
