A graduate of the Nigerian Law School in Lagos, Chiedu Ebie began his career in the legal department of a bank. After gathering diverse experience as an in-house counsel, he entered the practice of law as an associate counsel with the leading Nigerian firm of Aluko & Oyebode. After four years in this role, Chiedu Ebie secured a partnership in the firm of Okonjo, Odiawa & Ebie, formerly known as Odiawa, Ebie, & Co. Five years into his tenure with this firm, he lent his corporate and commercial (an in particular oil & gas) law expertise to the establishment of the Millennium Oil & Gas Company Ltd.
He left the practice of law in 2010 to assume full-time leadership of the company. Since that time, Chiedu Ebie has played a key role in building the company into a well respected operator within the marginal field sub-sector of the Nigerian oil & gas industry. He oversaw all company initiatives, including aspects of field operations and managing relations with their farmor, Shell Petroleum Development Company and joint venture partners, Hardy Oil Nigeria and Emerald Energy Resources Limited. Today he serves as Commissioner of Delta State Ministry of Education.
An avid sports fan in his free time, he follows the Nigerian soccer team as well as Manchester United and Formula 1 racing champions Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikonnen.
